Country Club Hills Pool Rules

General Swimming Pool Rules
The following acts are prohibited at the pool:
Running, pushing, and rough play.
Abusive, offensive, or profane language.
Excessive splashing of other swimmers or interfering with other member’s swim activities.
If a lifeguard finds someone in violation of pool rules, the penalty includes:
1st Infraction - Verbal warning
2nd Infraction - Sitting out for the remainder of the hour
3rd Infraction - Expulsion from the pool for the rest of the day
Any talking back to the lifeguards or managers may result in immediate expulsion.
Proper swimming apparel will be worn at all times, i.e.; gym shorts, cut-offs, etc., are not considered proper swimming apparel.
Glass is prohibited anywhere on pool grounds.
Foot-baths will be used before entering the pool area from the roped in grass areas.
Guests are subject to the same rules and regulations as members. The sponsoring member assumes full responsibility for the conduct of and/or damage caused by their guest(s).
Everyone is required to take a shower in their swimwear before entering the pool.
Board approval is required each year before anyone can offer formal swim lessons.
For safety reasons, only noodles and transparent floats are allowed in the pool. No oversized floats are allowed.
If the pool or pool deck becomes crowded, lifeguards have discretion to limit float use.
No bicycles, scooters, skateboards, roller blades, etc., are allowed on the main deck of the pool.
No alcoholic beverages are permitted anywhere on the CCHRC premises.
Bicycles and scooters shall be placed in the designated area for parking.
No pets shall be allowed in the enclosed pool area. Licensed Service Dogs are permitted on pool grounds.
All trash shall be placed in trash containers.
The cost of any property damage shall be charged to the responsible member, and if a guest is responsible it shall be charged to the sponsoring member.
The CCHRC management will not be responsible for loss or damage to personal property. Unclaimed lost and found articles will be donated to a non-profit charitable organization or thrown away at any time.
No loitering on pool premises after the pool is closed.
Pool Rules for Children
Children 14 years and under will have a 15 minute break each hour.
Children 12 and under must be constantly supervised by a responsible person who is 16 years or older.
Children 10 years old and under must complete a swim test in order to be in the water without an adult. Swim tests will be administered by the Life Guards.
Personal flotation devices for children 4 and under are allowed at any time.
To pass a swim test, the child must be able to: (1) swim one pool length, and (2) tread water for one minute.
Children who are not toilet trained are required to wear swim diapers or are not permitted in the pool. Accidents require the pool to close for several hours and must be avoided.
Baby Pool Rules
The baby pool is for children 6 and under. Please make sure older children are NOT using the baby pool, even during 15 minute breaks.
Supervision of children in the baby pool is the responsibility of the parent, or an adult supervisor. Supervision shall be described as being within arm’s reach of the child at all times. There is no lifeguard on duty in the baby pool.
Children must not be left unattended at any time.
The gate leading to/from the baby pool should remain closed, and latched, at all times.
No deck furniture may be placed in the baby pool.
No water guns allowed in the baby pool area.
Diving Board Rules
No flotation devices are permitted on the diving boards.
Only one person at a time is allowed on the diving board.
One bounce per dive. Divers may only take one bounce before leaving the board, and divers may only progress in a forward direction towards the pool while on the board.
No running on the board.
Performing cartwheels, handstands, etc., off the board is not allowed.
The lifeguard on duty may restrict dives based on safety concerns.
Sitting, swinging, or standing on the diving board handrails is prohibited.
Hanging from the diving board is prohibited.
Divers shall swim directly to the ladder after diving, and exit the deep end immediately.
The diver on the board may not proceed off the board until the previous diver has reached the ladder or has completely cleared the diving well.
Only lifeguards may open and close the diving well.
There is no swimming, or hanging on the wall, in the diving well while there are people diving except a parent or guardian assisting a child.
No running, pushing, or horseplay is permitted around the perimeter of the diving area.
No hanging, sitting, or standing on the lane line separating the swimming and diving areas.
No water guns are permitted in the diving board area.
Tennis Courts
The CCHRC management appreciates your help in keeping our tennis courts clean and playable. Contact the Lifeguard at the pool desk to reserve and access the CCHRC tennis courts.
The following rules apply to tennis court reservations:
Courts may be reserved for a one-hour time limit for singles, and a one and a half hour time limit for doubles.
Individuals 18 and over have priority during the following times:
All weekends and holidays.
Weekdays after 5 p.m.
Individuals under 18 who have full-time jobs may obtain special consideration by contacting e Pool Manager.
The tennis court is open during the same hours the pool is open.
No wheels on the tennis courts. (i.e.: skateboards, roller blades, etc.)
